Each semester, UPV offers Spanish language courses to its international exchange students as complementary and support training during their stay at UPV.

Price: free of charge for exchange students. Limited places
Duration: mid-September-late December (exam in January) and February-late May (exam in June).
Credits: 4,5 ECTS
Levels available on the Valencia campus: A1(*), A2, B1, B2 and C1 (**)

(*) Only for students coming from Asian partner universities or Erasmus KA171 students who receive scholarships through UPV.
(**) Level C1 i available only in the period February-June (semester B).

Levels available on the Gandia campus (EPSG): A2, B1 and B2
Levels available on the Alcoy campus (EPSA): B1 and B2

Students accepted for an exchange mobility period will receive instructions in early July and early December to take an online placement test (level test). Taking the test is obligatory if you want to participate in the Spanish courses during the semester.

The result of your level test will determine the Spanish courses you may request.

Timetables and registration:

During the process of reconfirming your choice of courses (1-31 August, or 1-31 January, you will also be able to select a Spanish language course, as long as you complete the online level test on time.

Please note that the number of spots in the Spanish language classes is limited for each level and each timetable choice.

Spanish subjects during the Semester and Erasmus+ Learning Agreement

Please do not include the semester Spanish courses in your Erasmus+ Learning Agreement "Before the Mobility" during the admission phase to the UPV.

Each Spanish language course has a numerical code and an exact name that changes depending on the semester of teaching (Semester A or Semester B), the campus and the level. First, you must take the UPV level test in July or December. When the test results are available, the UPV will establish which Spanish language course you have access to.

You may include your Spanish language courses in the Erasmus+ Learning Agreement "Changes During the Mobility" in September or February.
