Presentation of the degree

These studies train professionals from a scientific and technical point of view to be able to direct and manage the entire life process of a product from the generation of ideas, through production, manufacture and launch of the product.

The curriculum includes two itineraries:

- Escuela Politècnica Superior de Alcoi which offers the specializations: Production and Innovation, Quality and Management, Product Design and Textile and Fashion.

- School of Design of Alcoi, which offers the specializations: Comprehensive Design of Consumer Products, Advanced Design of Industrial Products, Products for Public Use and Design of New Products.

This degree is internationally certified with the EUR-ACE quality label.

Career opportunities

You will be able to work in companies from all industrial sectors, in the technical, design and research departments, for projects and for the development of new products.

You can also work on a freelance basis and establish consultancy or production services companies, as well as working for the Public Administration.

International mobility and internships

The most popular destinations are the Politecnico di Milano, in Italy, and the Ingenirhjskolen Odense Teknikum, in Denmark. In addition, over 100 vacancies are offered at other universities in Europe, the United States, Asia and Oceania, which are equally interesting in terms of both language and prestige.

Up to 18 credits are recognized for joining paid professional internships in any of the over than 500 companies with which agreements have been signed.

Further studies

With the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development you can access the following university master's degrees taught at the UPV: Business Administration; Design Engineering; Integrated Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing; Materials Engineering, Science Processing, and Characterisation; Mechanical Engineering; Organisational and Logistics Engineering; Project Management, and Textile Engineering.

As in the rest of the cases, students may apply for admission to any UPV master's degree by taking the appropriate levelling courses.
