Informatics Engineering is key in the design and production of projects that improve the quality of life such as electronic banking, online commerce, advanced means of transportation and home automation. Informatics Engineering trains qualified professionals to manage and coordinate teams that study the needs of companies and individuals and develop solutions. The curriculum includes 48 specialized ECTS grouped into two itineraries: one at the Escuela Politécnica de Alcoi and the other at the School of Informatics Engineering.

Informatics Engineering students are trained to take on positions of responsibility in companies in the ICT sector and IT departments of companies and institutions, joining disciplines such as artificial intelligence, multimedia design, computer animation, programming of video games and mobile devices, security of computer systems, medical informatics, etc. Informatics Engineering students can choose national and international destinations to take a semester, do the final project or internship in a company. The are agreements with the best European universities and also with universities in the United States, China, Japan and Australia. Some of the destinations to carry out the internships are: Indra, Bull, British Telecom, Iberdrola or the Generalitat Valenciana (Valencia's Government). In 98% of the cases the students receive financial compensation. With this degree students can access the Master's Degree in Informatics Engineering, which allows them to pursue the profession of informatics engineer. Bedsides, students may access the following university master's degrees taught by the UPV: Information management; Cloud and High-Performance Computing; Informatics Engineering and Networks; Software Engineering, Formal Methods and Information Systems; Artificial Intelligence, Recognition of Forms and Digital Image, and Automation and Industrial Informatics. As in the rest of the cases, students may apply for admission to any UPV master's degree by taking the appropriate levelling courses.Bachelor's Degree in Informatics Engineering
