Presentation of the degree

This degree presents the techniques and technologies to tackle signal transmission and reception issues and interconnection of communication networks, as well as the design of electronic communications systems. Its aim is to train professionals in communications technologies, telematics, electronics, and audiovisual and multimedia engineering.

Telecommunication studies enjoy an outstanding social and economic demand, and provide access to a professional, very successful and valued profile, thanks to the extensive knowledge of the most cutting-edge technologies, its adaptability and its great versatility.

Program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the General Criteria and the Telecommunications and Similarly Named Engineering Program Criteria.

Career opportunities

This degree enables you to practice the profession of telecommunication technical engineer in all its specialities: Telecommunication Systems, Telematics, Electronics and Sound and Image. The training acquired enables to take on managerial positions in the teams of private companies or public institutions, as well as to lead and manage projects in the most advanced technologies.

International mobility and internships

There are several exchange and double degree agreements in place with universities around the world, mainly from Europe, but also from the United States, Canada, Australia and Japan, so that students have the chance to carry out part of the studies abroad or in other Spanish cities through exchange programmes.

These studies have a clear applied focus, which is displayed in the large number of laboratory practices, as well as in the wide range of internships in companies, recognized with up to 18 ECTS.

The Degree in Technologies and Telecommunication Services Engineering is the reference degree to subsequently study the University Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering at the UPV.

Furthermore, the Degree enables access to, among others, the following master's degrees at the UPV: Technologies, Systems and Communication Networks; Electronic Systems Engineering; Biomedical engineering; Cloud and High-Performance Computing, and Acoustic Engineering.
