Abstract: In this short talk, Jaime Sevilla from Epoch AI will present the latest research on the factors that drive performance improvements in AI, such as compute and algorithmic improvements. He will also cover factors that might slow down progress in the future, such as data scarcity and willingness to invest. Finally, he will share some preliminary results on the possible impacts of AI on economic growth.
