Interior Architectural Design is an interdisciplinary field that combines creativity, communication in terms of representation and technology from an artistic standpoint always associated with the discipline, to its professional implementation in the company and in the building, cultural and leisure productive industries.
Its objective is the multidisciplinary training of professionals with the knowledge, abilities and creative and technological skills to design, manage, mediate and develop professional interior design projects related to the professional assignment.
Interior designers are professionals capable of analysing, researching and projecting, leading teams and performing interior design works, as well dealing directly with public administrations within the scope of the profession. They are professional mediators between technology and art, culture, production and the consumption that is essential in today's society. Where innovation, driven by design, the design for sustainability and design for all, contributes to develop aesthetic, social and environmentally friendly solutions and promotes more responsible consumption and a new well-being concept. Design is a determining factor in the global management of the company to optimise resources, point out differences and positions that make it possible to increase its efficiency and quality.
You will be able to do professional internships in one of the entities (companies, professional studios, technological institutes, public and private bodies and institutions) with which the School of Architecture and the UPV have signed collaboration agreements.
These internships are managed through the School's Business Internship Unit and are always supervised by an academic tutor, in order to ensure the best possible working conditions and the maximum educational benefit for you.
The Degree in Interior Architectural Design enables access to the following university master's degrees taught by the UPV: Advanced Architecture, Landscape, Urban Planning and Design (Interior design line); Arquitectural Heritage Conservation; and Landscape Architecture. It also grants access to any university master's degree from the UPV by taking the appropriate levelling courses.
