The Degree in Design and Creative Technologies is part of the professional field derived from the application of artistic processes in cultural industries. These cultural industries aim at the production of goods and services related to professional commissioning and the creation, production and marketing of creative content. This professional and applied use of artistic processes entails a deep knowledge of the visual uses, the understanding of functional and aesthetic solutions, as well as the use of varied techniques, which in many cases involve new technologies. Several business sectors require a professional profile trained in design and creative technologies. In recent years, the demand of specialists in graphic design, illustration, 2D and 3D animation, infographics, website design or application development for mobile devices has grown exponentially; just like the number of new start-ups created by these new professionals. You can work in graphic, audiovisual, editorial or web design and in mobile applications, video game design, illustration, animation, advertising creation, etc. You can spend from three to ten months (that is, a full academic year) in one of the 120 universities in 35 different countries with which the School has exchange agreements in place. The internships are carried out in industrial, textile, ceramic, audiovisual or graphic design; publishers, decoration and photography studios; art galleries, cultural foundations, museums; and in advertising agencies. They are voluntary and can be validated by credits. There are several internship programmes in overseas companies whose calls are open every year. The Degree in Design and Creative Technologies enables access to the following university master's degrees taught by the UPV: Visual Arts and Multimedia, and Artistic Production. It also grants access to any university master's degree from the UPV by taking the appropriate levelling courses.Bachelor's Degree in Design and Creative Technologies
