Presentation of the degree

The Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture provide the basis, foundations and tools to train professionals capable of creating architectural projects that satisfy the aesthetic demands and the techniques and requirements of their users, within the limits imposed by budgetary factors and construction regulations.

The Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture, together with the Master's Degree in Architecture, are equivalent to the former bachelor's degree in Architecture.

Career opportunities

The Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture, in addition to being the only one that allows access to the Master's Degree in Architecture, enables you access the labour market as an employee, perform professional works (except those that are exclusively attributed to regulated professions) and access public institutions (EU, national, regional and municipal) when such institutions require a graduate student.

International mobility and internships

During your academic training in this degree, you will have the opportunity to carry out internships in companies, professional studies, technological institutes, organizations and institutions with which the School of Architecture of the UPV has collaboration agreements.

You will have the opportunity to join an academic exchange abroad, taking a semester or full academic year in one of the universities of more than 30 countries, with which the School has signed agreements and exchange programmes. In addition, you may participate in the international workshops organized with these universities.

Further studies

The Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture is the only degree that allows access to the Master's Degree in Architecture, which is the qualification that enables the pursue of the professional career as an architect.

Besides, this degree enables students access to the following university master's degrees taught by the UPV: Conservation of Architectural Heritage; Advanced Architecture, Landscape, Urban Planning and Design.

As in the rest of the cases, students may apply for admission to other UPV master's degree by taking the appropriate levelling courses.
