Campus of International Excellence

The Universitat Politècnica de València has been certified as a Campus of International Excellence (CIE) twice for its VLC/Campus and Campus Habitat 5U projects. Only five universities in Spain have received this highest honour from the Ministry of Education twice.

The objective of CIEs is to promote strategic collaboration between universities and research centres, science parks, technology centres, etc. in order to further education, research and innovation and, in this way, contribute to the economic and social development of the area.

Furthermore, they also aim to address challenges like attracting the best students and researchers, and compete to have scientific facilities and companies with high added-value set up operations close to university campuses.
